Little Bugs Learning Lab
In our labs, kids will learn about the amazing insects that help our gardens thrive, explore plant and animal life cycles, and uncover the secrets of the ecosystem. Through interactive games, creative crafts, and outdoor exploration, children will develop a deeper appreciation for nature while cultivating their curiosity and teamwork skills.
Monthly Descriptions:
- April 04/13/25: Get ready to dig deep into the world of decomposers! This month, we’re uncovering the amazing role of worms—nature’s recyclers that turn old leaves into rich, healthy soil. We’ll take a close-up look at worm anatomy, explore different types of worms, and discover how they break down organic matter to help plants grow. Then, we’ll work together to introduce these wiggly decomposers into our Little Bugs Playground garden beds to keep our soil thriving! Come get your hands dirty and meet the tiny underground creatures that keep nature in balance!

Activities will include hands-on demonstrations, engaging games, and a creative craft to take home! Bring your curiosity and get ready to discover the wild side of the natural world!
The cost of this event is $15 per child and $12 for additional siblings. Children ages 6-12 are welcome to join. Parents are free to drop their kids off for the entire event. A ticket is required for each attending child.

Toddler Tuesdays with Twinkle Toes!
Toddler Tuesday is back in February with new books, a sing-along, and fun crafts! Now hosted in partnership with Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency!
Toddler Tuesdays are ideal for kiddos ages 2 to 5 years old. Pre-registration is required as we don’t sell tickets on the event day. Tickets cost $5. Toddler Tuesday will continue throughout the spring season on the 1st Tuesday of each month starting at 9:30AM.
Sensory Play with Seiser Sensory!
Join us again in February for our Sensory Play classes hosted in partnership with Seiser Sensory! We’ll meet once a month in the Riley Room at 9:30 am for a nature-based story time paired with a themed sensory playtime for toddlers and babies.
Sensory Plays are ideal for kiddos ages 12 months to 4 years old. Pre-registration is required as we don’t sell tickets on the event day. Tickets cost $10 and include all materials. Sensory Play will continue throughout the spring season on the 3rd Thursday of each month starting at 9:30AM.

Our Self-Guided Tours, also known as The Bug Crawl, are a great way for small groups, field trips, and homeschoolers to tour gardens and learn.
